AI Reaching New Heights – Is The Music Around You Also A Robotic Invention?

Did you hear? Ariana Grande just recorded a cover of the famous Bollywood song “Insane,” and
it took the internet by storm. Ariana could speak Hindi so fluently; who knew? Wait, what? Doesn’t
she? Well, we despise breaking it to you, but the use of artificial intelligence is going beyond limits
now.
It turns out some people used AI software to make the “Stuck With You” singer get not so much
stuck with Hindi. With every passing day, the number of jobs being replaced by AI is increasing.
But, when AI stepped into music territory, it caught us off guard. Stay tuned with us as we bring
you a glimpse of what’s going on in the music industry and what you may expect next.

The Emerging Use Of AI In The Music Industry
This was not the only time we saw AI software being exploited in the music industry. Different
softwares were used to copy the voices of different musicians, but back then, it was all fun and
games. You might be thinking, what’s wrong with some harmless fun? But this didn’t stop there.
There’s now a massive list of AI softwares available for sale and for free as well, which allows you
to impersonate a human voice. All this just to save a few bucks, isn’t it too much? Where did the
music for life and soul therapy kind of emotions die?
This is literally playing with the emotions of hundreds of thousands of people who find comfort
and solace in the words of others. And AI was definitely not made for this.

Is It All Bad?
Is the use of AI in music all harm and no good? Perhaps not. We agree that AI has made the process
quite less of a hassle for many musicians and songwriters, but is it ethical to promote AI-written
and AI-spoken content to be portrayed as human-written?
The music producers shamelessly using AI-generated music content fail to answer this logical and
ethical question: “Who owns the copyrights to a song written or sung, or composed through AI?”
What could have been done was to use AI for many other better reasons, like analyzing vast
amounts of data to identify general public trends in the music industry to create more relevant
content for the audience. Predictive analytics can also help music composers understand how their
new songs would do once in the market. The only point is things could have been better if AI was
used for creative reasons instead of cheating their way around.

We At KMEB Stand Against Letting Our Pleasure Being Spoiled
Music is like therapy to many of us. We connect to the songs written and spoken by the artists;
they are very close to our hearts. And so, we are not going to fall prey to robotic music, nor will
we let our audience ever!
At KMEB radio station, we will maintain high values, and you will never see us promoting any
AI-written or composed songs as human work. This being said it is totally up to you if you wish
to consume AI-generated music.
Feel free to hear whatever resonates with you, but rest assured that we won’t be among the music
labels or radio stations who’re busy luring you, their loyal audiences, into believing artificial
intelligence-generated content as your favorite musicians.

Here’s The Catch
On a serious note, AI and its benefits are wonderful too. Only if it were used for the right reasons
AI could help get the better version of the music industry out. People should get their preferences
set and stand out against the false advertising of AI-generated songs as human songs.
No one knows what the future of AI holds for us, and if the music mafia would stop just here. This
is the manipulation of consumer feelings and should be condemned in whatever peaceful way
possible. Let us speak now before music is damned for the rest of our generations. This is for the
good and betterment of the music industry.
